Double Yellow Lines ( do not cross)

Essential Elements: Faith and Patience (The Power Twins)

To fully accept the counsel from any coach it will require that we develop the element of Faith that has been given to each of us. Faith is developed when it is combined with patience. It is faith in a Power higher than one-self that leads guide and sustains our very existence and carry us through adversity. This Power is the very essence of our being that gets us to the Highway of prosperity. Faith is something that grows only through working and walking it out.

Along the road of life, adversity will happen. Sometimes we are prepared but most often we are not. The double Yellow lines are there to say “Choose”. To get to prosperity and abundance we must choose which side of the lines we will travel. Life is a two-way street with dividing lines and each side goes in a different direction. We must make a decision and commit to see it through. Choosing the prosperous side designates choosing to follow foundational principles that are poured into the cement of time. Following the principles that pave the way to success and prosperity, does not ensure we will not face adversity. It does insure that if we do not give up along the way, you will we be victorious over adversity, and will experience the joy, peace and abundance that a prosperous life offers.

Make a choice with faith, and have patience to persevere and walk it out to experience the outcome. “Faith is working it out; Patience is waiting and walking it out”. Faith and patience are the Power twins. Success and prosperity happen only when it is clearly understood that we are being lead by a power higher than oneself and choosing to take the High Way that is paved with godly principles to abundance and prosperity.

Adversity, Signs Along the Way - part 1

Essential Elements: Faith and Patience (The Power Twins)
“Faith is working it out; Patience is waiting and walking it out”
The roads we travel each day have signs that denote turns, curves; crossroads, RR crossing, yield signs and detours; just as the road of life has adversity that will steer us away from success and prosperity if we yield to it.

There are other signs such as;
• Wrong Way
• Do not enter
• Do not cross the “Double white lines”
• Stop

I think it is important to note that the lessons we remember best in life are born from adverse situations. Study any successful or prosperous person and you will find their life pages are filled with overcoming adversity and failures along the way. Through adversity we learn essential elements for sustaining success and prosperity.

Traveling unknown roads it is important to have a mentor or coach to highlight some of the self inflicted adversity that we will prolong or steal success and prosperity. The coaches or mentors are constantly pointing to the sign “Wrong Way”, “Do not enter” or “Stop”. Although we will certainly meet adversity, it can be minimized by following the counsel of someone who has traveled the road to the destination we are pursuing.

I have been very blessed to meet and be coached by an outstanding couple Stephen and Alicia Pierce. I highly recommend that you learn more about them. Adversity - The Highway to Prosperity

Preparation is normally the word we use when planning for a successful life, "we need to prepare". So, we train, organize practice and plan for our careers. But isn't it amazing that there is never enough preparation for the adverse situations we face. We set goals for prosperity and invite it in with open arms, but adversity is an un-invited foe that never yeilds to rejection, and almost always takes us by surprise. The statements sound something like this, "I did't even see it coming" "I was blindsided". Often times adversity is so devastating it is very difficult to recover and some never do. Okay, it is called by other names, hardships, difficulties, misfortune or hardtimes. "A sword by any other name is still as sharp."

Adversity demolishes the success we have planned and worked a lifetime to obtain. There are times when prosperity is within view and adversity comes along without warning and destroys the very existence of all we have accomplished, as if there was never a beginning. The good news is, We can overcome!

"Hidden in the folds of adversity is prosperity. Adversity adds diversity, variety, enlightment, a need for revision, and solidifies internal toughness and yearning."

  • Adversity is the stairsteps with splinters to a prosperous life.
  • Adversity is a the thorns on the long stem rose and the rose is success.
  • Adversity is being surrounded by the storm. Success and prosperity is the sunshine after the strom is over.
  • Adversity is driving down a dirt road with potholes after a hard rain. Prosperity is the pavement after construction is complete.
  • Adversity is the failing ecomomy, the layoff, and disappearing jobs after 20 years of service. Prosperity is deciding it is not over.
  • Adversity is the dead brown grass after a very cold snowy winter. Success is the beautiful sweet fragrant flowers in the spring.

Providing we take the High Way, prosperity is within our reach.

What's your thoughts???
